The Ministry of the Environment, through the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic, has announced the TRANSCom call No. 2/2025 – Emission-free road freight transport, which will support the transition of Czech carriers to electric trucks and the development of charging infrastructure. Companies can receive a subsidy of up to 50% of eligible costs and significantly reduce the cost of modernising their road freight fleet.
Receipt of applications: 2/2/2026 – 30/11/2026
Total allocation: 960 mil. CZK
What can be obtained for a subsidy
Purchase of zero-emission road transport vehicles, namely:
- electric trucks of category N2 (4.25 to 12 t);
- electric trucks of category N3 (over 12 t).
The support may also include the installation of charging stations, with a maximum of 1 station per 2 vehicles to be purchased.
Who can apply
- Road freight transport operators
- Small, medium and large enterprises from all over the Czech Republic, including Prague
Amount of aid
The amount of support is determined according to the size of the enterprise from the total eligible project costs, which are the difference between the price of the vehicle to be purchased and the price of the reference conventional vehicle (the prices of reference vehicles and the maximum limits of individual categories are determined by the call).
- Large enterprises: 30%
- Medium-sized enterprises: 40%
- Small businesses: 50%
- For charging stations across the board: 30%
Key terms
- Start of receipt of applications: 2/2/2026
- Closing date for applications: 30/11/2026
- There are 3 years to implement the project
Why the challenge is interesting
- The call represents one of the largest subsidy opportunities for the road haulage sector in recent years and is particularly ideal for transport and logistics companies, manufacturing companies with their own fleets, distribution centres and construction companies that operate heavy trucks.
- Thanks to the subsidy, it is possible to significantly reduce the acquisition costs of electric trucks, the price of which is now the main barrier to wider penetration.
- At the same time, the call helps companies prepare for stricter emissions regulations in the EU and meet ESG or decarbonization goals towards customers and investors.
