On Friday, 29 November 2024, the DEEP TECH Application subsidy call, aimed at supporting development activities in selected areas, was announced. The support level for some applicants and projects may reach up to 80% of the so-called eligible costs, which are the operating costs associated with the implementation of development projects. The application submission was commence on 16 December 2024, and depending on the number of submitted projects, will close no later than 19 March 2025. A total of CZK 3 billion is available.
Given the strong interest in this type of support observed in the market during the autumn, there is a real possibility that the application submission for the grant will close sooner. To successfully obtain the subsidy, it is important not only to apply on time but, considering the competitive nature of the subsidy call, also to ensure its quality.
In connection with the subsidy programme, we have most frequently received the following inquiries from our clients during the autumn:
- How do the support conditions differ from previous calls?
- How will the selection criteria be set, and what are the chances of obtaining the subsidy?
- Is collaboration with other entities such as enterprises or universities and research organisations necessary?
- Is our planned development project classifiable within the selected fields of DEEP TECH
- Which phases of development activities can be included in the application?
- By when do the defined project outputs need to be achieved?
- What is a safe deadline for submitting the subsidy application?
- Is this type of subsidy compatible with the tax deduction for research and development that we are claiming?
