Big support for electromobility starts: New subsidies for the construction of charging stations
The Ministry of Transport has announced two new subsidy calls from the Operational Programme Transport 2021–2027 aimed at the development of charging infrastructure for electric cars. Companies, municipalities and other entities can thus receive support for the construction of conventional and ultra-fast charging stations throughout the Czech Republic.
A total of CZK 640 million from the Cohesion Fund has been prepared in both calls.
Call No. 40 – Common charging stations for cities and municipalities
This call supports the installation of common charging stations in the public space of cities and municipalities.
Key parameters:
- Allocation: CZK 320,000,000
- Aid rate: up to 80% of eligible expenditure
- Objective: Expansion of available and affordable charging infrastructure in municipal locations
- New: reduction of the minimum range to 20 charging points (previously 40)
Call No. 41 – Fast charging infrastructure for passenger cars
Call No. 41 is aimed at projects for the construction of fast and ultra-fast charging stations throughout the Czech Republic, which will enable higher comfort and charging speed, especially for long-distance transport. Owners of the affected infrastructure with public access can apply.
Key parameters:
- Allocation: CZK 320,000,000
- Aid rate: up to 55% of eligible expenditure
- Objective: to support the development of infrastructure that responds to market trends and the increasing number of electric vehicles
- New: newly focused only on ultra-fast stations with an output of 150 kW or more
Deadlines for applicants of both calls:
- Submission of applications: from 14.10.2025 to 21.1.2026
- Both challenges are round-based (competitive)
