At the end of June, support in the field of waste management should be launched. It will focus mainly on the material recovery and recycling of municipal waste and similar waste. Furthermore, support should be directed to sludge treatment plants and possibly also to capacities for hazardous or medical waste. At the same time, we would like to remind you that a subsidy call aimed at the elimination of environmental burdens is still running.
Given that the subsidy call for the support of waste management has not yet been published, we list the expected parameters of the support:
- Supported activities: sorting, recycling, material recovery of waste, sludge treatment and hazardous waste
- Support in the form of a bank guarantee and a maximum of 20% subsidy
- Necessary material use of the output from the technology, energy use cannot be supported
- Receipt of applications: probably for 2 years
- The challenge is ongoing
- The beneficiary must ensure the sustainability of the project for a period of 5 years from its completion
At the same time, we would like to remind you that subsidy support is currently underway for the exploration of potentially contaminated sites and the remediation of sites where contamination has been confirmed. These are locations where primarily production, agricultural or other activities took place before 1989, which, due to the absence of environmental protection rules, could leave a burden on the soil, buildings or groundwater. The purpose of the projects is to verify any risk and, if confirmed, to remove the source of contamination.
- Supported activities: exploratory work, risk analysis, remediation work
- subsidy rate: 85% of eligible project costs
- Receipt of applications: survey and risk analysis until 29.4.2026, remediation of burdens until 14.11.2025
- It is necessary to prove that the originator of the contamination does not exist
- The challenge is ongoing
- The beneficiary must ensure the sustainability of the project for a period of 5-10 years from its completion
