Grant calls of the Modernization Fund announced
On April 28, 2025, the long-awaited calls of the Modernization Fund RES+ No. 5/2025: Renewable Energy Storage and RES+ No. 1/2025: Photovoltaic Power Plants up to 5 MWp with Own Consumption were announced. For more information on each call, please refer to our article.
RES+ No. 5/2025: Renewable Energy Storage
- Supported activities: battery storage, electricity storage into hydrogen including the possibility of reconversion to electrical energy, pumped-storage hydropower plants, etc.
- Max. grant rate: 20% of eligible project expenses
- Allocation: CZK 2 billion
- Min. storage capacity: 2 MWh
- Application deadline: until June 2, 2025
- The call is competitive; therefore, the applicant determines the level of support independently. Projects will subsequently be ranked according to cost-effectiveness (lower support rate means higher chance of application success)
- The beneficiary must ensure project sustainability for 10 years from its completion
RES+ No. 1/2025: Photovoltaic Power Plants up to 5 MWp with Own Consumption
- Supported activities: installation of new PV systems, installation of PV systems including battery storage or electrolyzer
- Max. grant rate: 30% of eligible project expenses
- Allocation: CZK 3 billion
- Application deadline: from July 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026
