Support up to CZK 100 million for renewable energy sources from OP TAC

As of Wednesday 6 September, companies can apply for financial support for the use of renewable energy sources, specifically for the construction and modernisation of small hydropower plants and for the conversion of biogas into biomethane and its filling or injection into the distribution network. The intermediary body is the Operational Programme Technologies and Applications for Competitiveness (OP TAC).

The aim of these calls is to support business entities in the use of renewable energy sources, which will lead to a reduction in the consumption of primary energy sources, to a reduction of the Czech Republic’s energy dependence on domestic fossil fuels and energy imports from abroad and to a gradual transition to a low-carbon economy.

Common threads of both subsidies:

Who may apply:

  • Small, medium-sized and large enterprises

Amount of the subsidy:

  • A minimum subsidy per project is CZK 1 million and a maximum is CZK 100 million.

Dates and deadlines:

  • Opening date for the receipt of applications: 6 September 2023
  • Closing date for the receipt of applications: 13 December 2023
  • Completion of the physical implementation of the project: 30 June 2027

Renewable Energy – Small Hydropower Plants – Call I.

What the support can be used for:

A) Eligible costs directly related to the production of energy from renewable energy sources – biomethane.

B) Other eligible costs not directly related to the production of energy from renewable energy sources – biomethane.

What, on the other hand, cannot be supported under the call:

  • Research, development and pilot projects

Level of support – activity A:

  • 65% – small enterprises
  • 55% – medium-sized enterprises
  • 45% – large enterprises

Level of support – activity B:
