Announcement of New Calls in the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness

Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic announced several new calls in the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness 2014–2020, with the starting date for the receipt of applications for support in early January. More details are provided below.

Energy Savings in Heat Supply Systems (HSS)

Call IV of programme Energy Savings in HSS supports projects focused on reconstruction and development of heat supply systems and improving the performance of combined production of heat and electricity. The programme supports activities such as construction, reconstruction, development and interconnection of the existing heat supply systems, installation and modernisation of technological equipment related to heat distribution, or installation of solar collectors and heat pumps for pre-heating of hot water.

Who can request the grant:

  • Small, medium-sized and large enterprises.

What the grant can be used for:

  • Construction costs.
  • Project documentation costs, including engineering work.
  • Technological equipment costs.
  • Tangible fixed assets.
  • Intangible fixed assets.
  • Energy assessment.

Grant amount per project:

  • From CZK 0.5 to 200 million.

Aid intensity per project:

  • Maximum of 50% eligible costs for small enterprises.
  • Maximum of 45% eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises.
  • Maximum of 40% eligible costs for large enterprises.

Receipt of applications:

  • 8 January 2020 – 12 December 2020.

This is an ongoing call. The project has to be delivered in the Czech Republic, outside of the Capital City of Prague, depending on the actual place where the project is implemented.

Low-Carbon Technology

Call V of programme Low-Carbon Technology comprises three areas of the Low-Carbon Technology programme. These calls include:

  1. Energy accumulation
  2. Secondary raw materials
  3. Electromobility

Applicants: small, medium-sized and large enterprises; public enterprises can also apply, with the exception of the Electromobility call.

1. Energy Accumulation call
This call supports innovative activities aimed at the introduction of energy management technology.

What the grant can be used for:

  • Costs for technology, equipment, and machinery.
  • Costs for utilities networks and engineering work.
  • Construction costs.

Grant amount per project:

  • From CZK 300 thousand to de minimis.

Aid intensity per project:

  • Maximum of 80% eligible costs for small enterprises.
  • Maximum of 70% eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises.
  • Maximum of 60% eligible costs for large enterprises.

Receipt of applications:

  • 6 January 2020 – 28 May 2020.

2. Secondary Raw Materials call
This call supports projects focused on the introduction of innovative technology to recover secondary raw materials suitable for further use, production of products from secondary raw materials, and an effective way of recovering valuable secondary materials from used products.

What the grant can be used for:

  • Costs for equipment and machinery.
  • Costs for utilities networks and engineering work.
  • Construction costs.

Grant amount per project:

  • From CZK 1 million to 70 million

Aid intensity per project:

  • Maximum of 45% eligible costs for small enterprises.
  • Maximum of 35% eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises.
  • Maximum of 25% eligible costs for large enterprises.

Receipt of applications:

  • 6 January 2020 – 28 May 2020.

3. Electromobility call
This call supports the introduction of innovative technology in the area of low-carbon transportation, i.e. the purchase of an EV in the supported category of road vehicles, purchase of a long-range EV, purchase of a BEV and purchase of private (fast-)charging stations.

What the grant can be used for:

  • Vehicle purchase costs.
  • Charging station purchase costs.

Grant amount per project:

  • From CZK 250 thousand to de minimis.

Aid intensity per project:

  • Maximum of 40/30% eligible costs for small enterprises, depending on the category of the vehicles purchased.
  • Maximum of 35/25 % eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises, depending on the category of the vehicles purchased.
  • Maximum of 30/20 % eligible costs for large enterprises, depending on the category of the vehicles purchased.

Receipt of applications:

  • 6 January 2020 – 28 May 2020.

Energy Savings – Photovoltaic Systems with/without Accumulation for Own Use

Call III of programme Photovoltaic Systems with/without Accumulation for Own Use supports projects aimed at the reduction of energy consumption by installing photovoltaic systems (with or without systems for accumulation for the enterprise’s own use).

Who can request the grant:

  • Small, medium-sized and large enterprises.

What the grant can be used for:

  • Tangible fixed assets.
  • Intangible fixed assets.
  • Costs for construction project documentation, including construction engineering work.
  • Costs for utilities networks.

Expected grant amount per project:

  • From CZK 2 million to 50 million.

Expected aid intensity per project:

  • Maximum of 80% eligible costs for small enterprises.
  • Maximum of 70% eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises.
  • Maximum of 60% eligible costs for large enterprises.

Receipt of applications:

  • 13 January 2020 – 31 August 2020.
