Calls of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness for 2014 – 2020 on digital transformation and energy savings

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic announced several calls for projects focused on digital transformation and energy savings, i.e. calls of the Technology Programme – Industry 4.0 and Energy Savings Programme. Applicants can draw subsidies for their projects in the amount of up to several tens of millions of CZK within individual calls, especially to cover their investment costs. In total, more than CZK 2.5 billion should be distributed among businesses within these calls.

Technology Programme – Industry 4.0

The Technology Programme supports projects with a further development strategy in the field of digital transformation through the acquisition of new technologies connecting information systems (existing or new) or other implemented modules connecting all or most areas of business activities (e.g. production management, inventory, purchase, sale, finance or human resources).

For one project, the applicant can receive the aid of up to CZK 40 million. The allocation for this call is set at CZK 550 million.

Who can apply for a subsidy:

  • Small and medium-sized businesses

What the subsidy covers:

  • Expenditure on tangible fixed assets
  • Expenditure on intangible fixed assets

Subsidy amount per project:

  • CZK 1 million – CZK 40 million

Aid amount per project:

  • Maximum 45% of eligible expenditure for small businesses
  • Maximum 35% of eligible expenditure for medium-sized businesses

Receiving applications:

  • 2 December 2020 – 2 March 2021

It is a continuous call. The project must be executed in the Czech Republic, outside of the capital city of Prague; the actual place where the project is executed is decisive.

Energy Savings Programme

The Energy Savings Programme supports projects aimed at reducing the energy demands of a company. Supported activities include, for example, reconstruction and modernisation of energy production facilities for own consumption, distribution of electricity, gas and heat in order to increase efficiency, modernisation of lighting systems of buildings and industrial sites, reducing energy demands of production and technological processes.

The call for this programme is scheduled for 24 November. The allocation for this call is set at CZK 2 billion. Small, medium-sized and large businesses can apply.

The subsidy will be provided mainly for the acquisition of tangible fixed assets and intangible fixed assets necessary for the operation of tangible fixed assets.

Once the call is announced, we will inform you about further details, such as the amount of the subsidy and other conditions of the aid.

However, it is already set that applications will be received from 24 November 2020 to 30 June 2021.
