Get ready for the new Energy Savings Call
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is planning to announce a new call for Energy Savings at the end of April and beginning of May, which follows the call from last year prematurely terminated due to the change of GBER. Businesses will thus once again have the opportunity to obtain subsidies for projects aimed at reducing energy consumption in the operation of business buildings and production processes.
The most significant change compared to the last call is the modification of the criteria for the energy savings monitored. The new criterion is not the saving of primary non-renewable energy, but the saving of primary energy. For the replacement of technologies, the option to fulfil primary energy savings or CO2 savings will remain.
The expected parameters of the call are presented below. We will inform you about the detailed conditions and the exact timing once the call is launched.
Who may apply:
- Small, medium and large enterprises from all over the Czech Republic, excluding Prague
What the support can be used for:
- Replacing energy inefficient machines
- Reducing the energy consumption of buildings – insulation, replacement of windows, reconstruction of heating systems, modernisation of lighting systems, use of waste energy, green roofs
- Renovation, modernisation, or replacement of energy production equipment, e.g. replacement of boilers, installation of heat pumps, etc.
- Renovation of electricity, gas and heat distribution systems to increase efficiency
- Regulation of consumption and introduction of energy metering and control systems
- Installation of renewable energy sources for the business’s own consumption, including the storage of electricity, heat or cold – this may include, for example, the installation of a photovoltaic plant, the installation of water or biomass heating systems
- Installations for the retention and use of rainwater
Amount of the subsidy:
- Call allocation CZK 5 billion
- Minimum CZK 500 thousand per project
- Maximum CZK 200 million per project
Level of support:
- 35–80% based on the size of the enterprise and the type of solution (GBER application)
Launch of the application intake:
- May 2024
