On 10 March 2021, The Czech Technology Agency announced the fourth public tender focusing on the support of the TREND industrial research and experimental development, in the “Nováčci” (Newcomers) sub-programme. The programme focuses on the support of projects aimed at increasing the international competitiveness of enterprises, supporting penetration in new markets or shifting global value chains. The “Nováčci” sub-programme then focuses on enterprises that have not used subsidies for research and development in the past five years, in the total amount exceeding CZK 1 million. The public tender supports the delivery of R&D results and their usage for the business activity itself.
The allocation of the public tender amounts to CZK 180 million. A necessary precondition for the subsidy to be approved is a certain type of a result such as a prototype, functional sample, software, industrial or utility model, etc.
