Public tender of the Programme for the Support of Industrial Research and Experimental Development TREND

During September, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic announced the planned 4th public tender of the TREND programme, in the sub-programme Newcomers. The programme aims at supporting projects that focus on increasing the international competitiveness of companies, supporting the penetration of new markets or a shift in global value chains. The sub-programme Newcomers is aimed at companies that have not drawn aid for research and development in the last five years, in the total amount exceeding CZK 1 million.

The allocation of the prepared public tender is set at CZK 180 million and the amount of aid per project is a maximum of CZK 15 million, which can be very interesting for start-ups in order to finance industrial research and experimental development.

Unlike other programmes, however, companies seated in Prague can also apply for that aid. In addition, projects from Industry 4.0, automotive, 5G technology, or whose solution is to be implemented in a structurally affected region, or which will lead to a reduction in health threats such as COVID-19 and their impacts, will be credited with additional points within the evaluation process.

Applications will be received from 14 January to 3 March 2021.
