Public tender under the TREND programme

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) announced the planned public tender under the TREND programme for 22 December 2021. However, the announcement of this tender was postponed, and negotiations are currently in progress with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic on a change of conditions and a new date.

The TREND programme (Sub-programme 1 – Technological Leaders) is aimed at supporting industrial research and experimental development. The objective of the programme is to finance projects focused on implementing the results of industrial research and experimental development in practice. A total of CZK 2 billion will be distributed to successful applicants.

A prerequisite for a successful project is the delivery of a specific type of result, e.g. a prototype, a functional sample, software, an industrial or utility model, etc.

All enterprises, regardless of size (i.e. including large enterprises) and regardless of the project location (i.e. including Prague), and research organisations can apply; the enterprise must always be the main applicant.

A new mandatory appendix to the project proposals is the Project Definition for compliance with the principle of no significant harm. Specifically, this concerns the environment and climate-related principles. Applicants will therefore have to describe in the appendix whether there is a violation of environmental goals or whether the project, activities and impact of the products or services provided are in line with environmental goals.

We will inform you of the updated tender deadlines.
