On 21 December 2024, the long-awaited calls for support for photovoltaic systems from the Modernisation Fund RES+ No. 1/2024 and RES+ No. 2/2024 were announced.
These are calls where small, medium and large enterprises throughout the Czech Republic can apply for subsidies to support the purchase of photovoltaic power plants (PVPP) for rooftop and ground-mounted installations. The subsidy can finance not only photovoltaic systems, but also battery storage or hydrogen production systems by electrolysis of water.
Please find below the key details and dates of the calls:
| RES+ No. 1/2024: PVPP from 10 kWp to 5 MWp primarily for own consumption | RES+ No. 2/2024: PVPP with a capacity above 1 MWp with the possibility of supplying the grid |
Allocation | CZK 3 billion | CZK 4 billion |
Scope | Unit costs by PVPP output | Unit costs by PVPP output |
Start of receipt of applications for support: | 1 March 2024 | 15 May 2024 |
End of receipt of applications for support: | 31 October 2024 | 10 September 2024 |
Max. implementation time | 3 years | 5 years |
Call type | Continuous call – non-competitive | Time-limited call – competitive |
Call details | Stand-alone projects with a single point of implementation (i.e. a single transfer point to the grid) | Stand-alone and combined projects with the possibility of multiple points of implementation |
Given the current high interest in renewable energy sources, we expect a large number of entities to apply for subsidies under the RES+ calls. We know from experience that these can be very time-consuming projects, where the quality of the submitted project also plays a major role in success. We have a lot of experience with RES+ projects, so if you are interested please contact us.
