During November, one of the regular meetings of the Research, Development and Innovation Council (RDIC) was held to discuss the SIGMA programme. This programme is designed to support applied research and innovation. The programme and its structure allow for a flexible response to the current needs of both the economy and society as a whole.
During the meeting, an opinion was approved on the SIGMA programme proposal, which was the subject of negotiations between the RDIC and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR), and on continuous adjustments to the parameters from the beginning of 2021.
Regular annual public tenders are planned in the programme. The first one is planned to be announced in 2022, and the duration of the programme is set at 8 years, during which it will be possible to apply for a subsidy.
