The announcement of the programme for the installation of photovoltaic power stations is imminent

We can soon look forward to some of the most anticipated calls under the Modernisation Fund, namely the RES+, HEAT, ENERG and ENERG ETS programmes, which will support renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures. The calls will open and applications will be accepted in early 2024.

However, below we will focus primarily on the RES+ programme. The programme will support subsidy projects for the installation of non-fossil fuel renewable energy sources and elements of active energy management. It will thus be possible to obtain up to a 50% subsidy, e.g. for the installation of a photovoltaic power station.

Call title Supported activities Eligible applicants Level of support Planned date of announcement
RES+ up to 1 MWp Acquisition of photovoltaic systems with/without energy storage up to 1 MWp Businesses of all sizes, the whole Czech Republic including Prague Up to 35% on PVPS

Up to 50% on batteries

Q1 2024
RES+ above 1 MWp Acquisition of photovoltaic systems with/without energy storage above 1 MWp Businesses of all sizes, the whole Czech Republic including Prague Up to 35% on PVPS

Up to 50% on batteries

Q1 2024

What expenditure can be supported?

  • Direct implementation costs, such as construction work, technology, services directly related to the implementation of the project (installation etc.).
  • Activities of professional technical supervision or author’s supervision.
  • Expenditure on ensuring work safety on the construction site (up to a maximum of 3% of the direct implementation costs).
  • Extra work.
  • Expenditure on mandatory publicity related to the project.

What to watch out for?

  • Electricity storage systems can only be supported as part of a comprehensive PVPS project.
  • PVPS must not be built on agricultural land.
  • When applying for support, a valid contract for connection is required, or a future contract for connection to the transmission or distribution network can also be provided.

The calls are expected to be launched in Q1 2024, therefore the above parameters are preliminary. Considering the complexity of preparation for these calls and the need to have a valid contract or a future contract for connection to the distribution network when applying for support, it is recommended to start preparing your project as soon as possible. If you would like more information, please contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the procedure and provide you with maximum support and assistance.
