The announcement of the second public competition of the TRANSPORT 2030 programme

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic presents a second public competition of the TRANSPORT 2030 programme, which was announced on 28 February 2024. Within the programme, funds may be obtained for applied research, development, and innovation in the field of transport. What are the preliminary contest parameters?

This competition is an unique opportunity for innovators in the field of transport, who want to lead the transformation of the transport industry towards a more sustainable, efficient, and technologically advanced future. The project may be aimed at a whole spectrum of transport infrastructure, means of transport or kinds of transport, i.e. land, water, or air transport.

Basic parameters:

  • Receipt of applications: 29 February 2024 – 24 April 2024
  • Project realisation period: 12–24 months
  • Maximum amount of funds for one project: CZK 40 million
  • Maximum aid intensity: 70%
  • Eligible expenses: personal costs, contractual research, costs for devices and equipment, indirect costs (overhead costs, operating costs, material, travel expenses, etc.)
  • Projects have to be directed towards one of the following goals:
    • Sustainable, accessible, and safe transport;
    • Automation, digitalisation, and technologically advanced transport; or
    • Low emission and ecological transport.

The projects must be completed in under 48 months, whereby the projects must end by December 2028 at the latest. The project outputs are to be for example a pattern, a prototype, a model, a patent, or software.

The competition is meant for businesses of all sizes, further for research organisations, state organisational units (OSS), or regional authorities. The number of applications submitted by one contender is unlimited.
