In early June, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic plans to announce the THETA programme, a public tender aimed at supporting applied research, experimental development and innovation. The programme will support projects focused on research, development, and innovation in the field of energy, aimed at improving the quality of management in the energy sector and the use of new technologies as well as system elements.
A total of 2 sub-programmes are open for tender:
- Sub-programme 1 ‒ Research in the Public Interest
- Sub-programme 2 ‒ Strategic Energy Technologies
A prerequisite for the approval of the grant is the achievement of a specific type of result, such as a prototype, functional sample, software, industrial or utility model, etc.
Who can apply for the grant:
- The public tender is open to enterprises and research organisations.
What the grant covers:
- Personal expenses and scholarships
- Subcontracting costs
- Other direct costs
- Indirect costs
Rate of support per project:
- The maximum rate of support per project is 90% under Sub-programme 1 and 60% of the total eligible costs under Sub-programme 2, depending on the type of applicant and activity.
Amount of support per project:
- The maximum amount of support per project under Sub-programme 1 is EUR 10 million. The maximum amount of support per project under Sub-programme 2 is not set.
Receipt of project proposals:
- from 2 June 2022 to 27 July 2022
The announcement of the results of the tender is scheduled for 31 January 2023. The minimum duration of the project is set at 12 months, with implementation starting in February 2023 at the earliest.
