Tax alert: Change in the schedule of calls in the OPEIC for 2021 and the last possibility of drawing subsidies in current programming period

On 19 March 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic changed the current schedule of calls for 2021. A fundamental change is the planned announcement of calls in the Applications, Innovation and Potential programmes. This is the last opportunity in this programming period to draw funds from the OP EIC program and to support research and development activities. Within these calls, applicants can draw subsidies for individual projects in the amount of up to tens of millions of CZK. This makes them a very interesting means, especially to support investment, but also operating costs. In total, CZK 4.5 billion should be distributed among entrepreneurs within these calls. Below, we present a more detailed description and parameters of individual calls. Brief information concerning other planned calls can be found in the table below.

Extension of the deadline for receiving applications for the last call Innovation in the “Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness Operational Programme”

In the currently ending 2014-2020 programme period, there are still several interesting calls open in which applicants may use subsidies for individual projects in the volume of up to several tens of million Czech crowns, primarily for the support of investment costs. In total, more than CZK 5 billion is supposed to be distributed among entrepreneurs in these last calls. Below, we provide a more detailed description and parameters of the call from the Innovation programme, where the deadline for receiving applications was extended till 30 April 2021.

The latest calls and subsidy opportunities in the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness (OPEIC) at the end of the 2014-2020 programming period

In the currently ending programming period 2014-2020, several interesting calls are still open, from which applicants can receive subsidies for individual projects in the amount of up to several tens of millions, in particular to support investment costs. In total, more than CZK 3.5 billion should be distributed among entrepreneurs as part of these calls. Below is a more detailed description and parameters of each call from the Energy Savings programme.

Calls of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness for 2014 – 2020 on digital transformation and energy savings

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic announced several calls for projects focused on digital transformation and energy savings, i.e. calls of the Technology Programme – Industry 4.0 and Energy Savings Programme. Applicants can draw subsidies for their projects in the amount of up to several tens of millions of CZK within individual calls, especially to cover their investment costs. In total, more than CZK 2.5 billion should be distributed among businesses within these calls.
