Digital Nomad Program for foreign IT employees working remotely in Czechia
The Digital Nomad Program is intended for highly qualified IT employees coming from abroad with the intention to work remotely in the Czech Republic. The aim of the program is to respond to changing trends in the field of international mobility of employees and freelancers, and to facilitate the settlement of such foreign employees in the Czech Republic.
This program will satisfy the demand for remote work of IT specialists within the sector and enable more flexible movement of the workforce. The program is also expediting the legislative process and shortening the duration of proceedings to only 45 days.
What are the conditions? This program is open to:
- Citizens of Australia, Japan, Canada, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, and Taiwan.
- Employees of a foreign company who will work remotely for an extended period of time in the territory of the Czech Republic using telecommunication equipment. In this case, the foreigner must remain in an employment relationship with his or her foreign business company for the entire time.
- Freelancers (OSVČ) – a foreigner who is or will be a holder of a Czech business license.
