Public tender in the TREND Programme for the support of industrial research and experimental development

On 10 March 2021, The Czech Technology Agency announced the fourth public tender focusing on the support of the TREND industrial research and experimental development, in the “Nováčci” (Newcomers) sub-programme. The programme focuses on the support of projects aimed at increasing the international competitiveness of enterprises, supporting penetration in new markets or shifting global value chains. The “Nováčci” sub-programme then focuses on enterprises that have not used subsidies for research and development in the past five years, in the total amount exceeding CZK 1 million. The public tender supports the delivery of R&D results and their usage for the business activity itself.

The “Nováčci” programme then focuses on enterprises that have not used subsidies for research and development in the past five years, in the grand total exceeding CZK 1 million.

Public tender of the Programme for the Support of Industrial Research and Experimental Development TREND

During September, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic announced the planned 4th public tender of the TREND programme, in the sub-programme Newcomers. The programme aims at supporting projects that focus on increasing the international competitiveness of companies, supporting the penetration of new markets or a shift in global value chains. The sub-programme Newcomers is aimed at companies that have not drawn aid for research and development in the last five years, in the total amount exceeding CZK 1 million.

Preparation of the Third Public Tender in the TREND Programme

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic plans to announce on 29 April the third public tender in the TREND programme, focusing on the support of industrial research and experimental development, specifically sub-programme 1 – Technology Leaders. The objective of the TREND programme is to support projects focusing on implementing the results of industrial research and experimental development in practice and on the support of penetration of new markets. Sub-programme 1 aims to support research and development (R&D) activities of business that intend to use them for their own business activities.

Second Call for Proposals in the TREND Programme in Preparation

On 4 December, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic is planning to announce a second call for proposals in the TREND programme, in particular sub-programme 2 – Newcomers, focusing on the support of industrial research and experimental development. The objective of the TREND programme is to support projects focusing on implementing the results of industrial research and experimental development in practice and on the support of penetration of new markets. The main aim of sub-programme 2 is to support research and development (“R&D”) activities of enterprises in cooperation with research organisations, especially those applicants, who do not carry out R&D activities on a regular basis. The programme is organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, but the subsidiser is the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.

Announcement of the first call for proposals in the TREND programme

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic announced the first call for proposals in the TREND programme, focusing on the support of applied research and experimental development. The objective of the TREND programme is to support projects focusing on implementing the results of industrial research and experimental development in practice and on the support of penetration of new markets. The programme is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, but the provider of the support is the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.
